Division of Prenatal testing

Welcome to the Division of Prenatal testing

Genetika provides a key service - prenatal analysis through various marker tests, including double marker, triple marker, and quadruple marker tests. These tests involve measuring two essential markers in maternal blood samples: PAPP-A (pregnancy-associated plasma protein A) and free beta hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). The aim is to evaluate the risk of chromosomal abnormalities, such as Down syndrome, in the developing fetus.

The double marker test is a non-invasive, low-risk alternative to traditional invasive diagnostic tests, such as chorionic villus sampling (CVS) or amniocentesis. It provides important information about the health of the fetus and can help expectant parents make informed decisions about their pregnancy.
